Why I Built My Business on WooCommerce?

In this episode of Do the Woo, hosts Katie Keith from Barn2 Plugins and James Kemp from Woo are joined by Jack Roebuck, a UK-based operator who runs his business on WooCommerce. Jack spent 14 years in digital marketing, including time as COO at a UK agency, before moving into building and running his own stores. Today he operates two Woo storefronts – Lumiere Home and The Home Sauna Co – alongside his consultancy, Roebuck Consulting.

The conversation covers why Jack built his business on Woo, what running real stores on the platform looks like day to day, and how his marketing and operations background shapes the way he approaches ecommerce. He talks through the practical side of running multiple stores with a lean setup, and shares what he sees working – and not working – for merchants he advises through his consultancy.

This is the first time we’ve had a merchant on the show, and Jack’s mix of hands-on store owner and consultant gives a grounded, operator’s view of building on WooCommerce. If you’re running a Woo store, thinking about the platform, or advising others who are, this one’s for you. It’s a look at how someone actually puts Woo to work across several businesses at once.
