Checkout Summit Recap: Reflections from the Organizer and Attendees

Checkout Summit was the first dedicated in-person WooCommerce conference in years, organized by Rodolfo Melogli of Business Bloomer.

In this wrap-up episode, hosts Katie Keith and James Kemp sit down with Rodolfo to hear the organizer’s perspective, alongside attendees Remkus de Vries (Within WordPress, Truer than North) and Patrick Rauland (author of Mastering WooCommerce, co-founder of WooSesh) to talk through what the event was actually like.

The conversation covers what Rodolfo set out to build and how it came together in practice, the talks and hallway conversations that stood out, and the themes that kept surfacing across the program – from checkout UX and conversion, to where WooCommerce sits in the wider ecommerce landscape. Remkus and Patrick share what they took away as attendees, what they’d want to see next year, and where the event could go from here.

This episode is for anyone interested in WooCommerce, whether or not you made it to Checkout Summit. If you attended, it’s a chance to compare notes. If you didn’t, it’s a straightforward look at what happened, what was discussed, and whether it’s worth putting on your calendar next time.

The episode includes live audience questions and open discussion.
